First Grade

Poetry Folders

Each child will have their own poetry book.  The book will contain a poem for each week of the month, as well as skills to complete with your child at home.  Please return the book at the end of each month. 

 

Reading Calendar

Every month your child will bring home a calendar to record the number of minutes your child reads each night.  Students should read 15-20 minutes every night (a minimum of 400 minutes a month).  Please return the reading calendar at the end of each month.

 

Math Homework

All students should practice math facts.  Other math homework is given in math classes.
